Janna Nicholson - Vocals, PercussionJanna was born in the Amish country of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She made her way to the Pacific Northwest at the age
of three and has called the Spokane area home ever since. She currently lives in Chattaroy, Washington. Janna’s passion for music began at age 2 1/2 when she sang “Away in the Manager” for a children’s church program
with the “big kids”. She then moved onto children’s choirs and handbell choirs, and performed in various choral
groups in high school and college. Janna also had the fun opportunity to be the “token” female in her high school
band percussion section playing glockenspiel, chimes, marimba, xylophone and anything other percussion instruments
the drum guys needed. Currently, Janna is the handbell choir director for St. Luke Lutheran Church in Spokane and
a member of Celebrate Grace singing lead and back up vocals. She adds percussion as the Spirit moves her. Janna is employed at Whitworth University as an administrative assistant in their Office of Institutional Advancement.
Besides music, Janna enjoys RV travel, cooking, gardening and reading in her leisure time. She and her husband, Vic,
enjoy being part-time cattle barons raising a couple heads of beef on their five acres in Chattaroy. Janna and Vic are
also the proud parents of two sons, Josh (25) and Alex (21). |
